Lievland Estate
Lievland, underground maturation and storage cellar
Lievland's history dates back to 1715.
Both the gabled cellar (built in 1823) and the gabled house (built in 1828)are still in use today.
CellarLievland boasts one of the few underground maturation and storage cellars in the Cape.
The capacity of the Lievland cellar is 300 tonnes.
The cellar also houses Lievland's private vinoteque with room for 9 000 bottles.
The Wine Tasting RoomThe wine tasting room was recently renovated with consideration of contemporary South African style and an eye on the traditional wine farm.
The large fireplace creates a sense of home and warmth in the winter.
Bed and BreakfastGrand antique four poster beds adorn each of the three oversized rooms suggestive of old world charm and comfort.
Spacious bathrooms with all the modern amenities invite you to relax and let the world pass you by.
Whether swimming in the pool, boating on the dam or playing an evening game of tennis you are sure to relax.
And if that doesn't take you away, a vineyard walk overlooking Table Mountain surely will.
