When: Friday 3 February 2012
If you have never witnessed the opening ceremony of a MTBS athletics meet, you have missed something.
MTBS refers to the schools participating (DF Malan (M), Tygerberg, Bellville and Stellenberg).
Spectators usually start taking their seats as early as 05:00 to get the best seats for the ceremony.
During the ceremony each school then gets the opportunity to perfom.
It really is something worthwhile to see.

Atydgedacht Wine Estate
Atydgedacht Wine Estate is situated only 15 km away from the Atlantic ocean and the farm and falls into one of the coolest wine growing regions of South Africa.
This cooler weather means that the ripening period of the grape is lengthened and has the excellent potential for quality wine.
If you are looking for something different to do, why not join Atlantic Rail for a steam train ride from Cape Town to Simons Town.
On the trip the railway line skirts the ocean as it travels through Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Glencairn coming to an end in Simonstown with a view of the naval dockyard.
