The Cape Point Ostrich Farm is 50km from Cape Town, next to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve (Cape Point Nature Reserve).
The drive to the farm is on one of the great scenic routes of South Africa leading to the Cape of Good Hope, either via Simons Town or via Scarborough.
Guided tours
Well trained guides will be more than happy to show you around and give you detailed information about the life cycle of an ostrich, from egg to the adult bird.
Being a productive breeding farm, everything is done to comfort and accommodate our 40 breeding birds.
They live in 40 camps to ensure that there are always plenty of ostrich eggs to be incubated.
During the breeding season, quite often you will be able to experience the hatching of our ostrich chicks.

Beer GardenThe Beer Garden can seat up to 200 people and is a good perfect venue for functions or weddings.
The outside area, to the side of the beer garden, gives you a feel of an exclusive garden with a lovely view of the mountain.
The huge green lawns allows for
helicopter flights to land on the premises.
RestaurantOstrich meat is one of the
healthiest red meats you can eat as it has less fat than fish and nearly no Cholesterol.
Various menus are offered featuring ostrich meat.


It's lots of fun feeding the young birds!
Leather shopA wide selection of ostrich leather products are on offer, including handbags, belts, wallets and shoes.

Egg ShopThe eggs on offer vary from plain to intricately carved egg shells that can either be used as lamps, candle holders or wind lights.
Local artists are supported.
