Steenberg Vineyards

Steenberg ("Mountain of Stone") Vineyards has developed a worldwide reputation for producing excellent Cape wines.
The estate boasts a state of the art modern winery, producing some of the country’s finest award winning wines.

The luxurious Steenberg Hotel is also situated on the farm. Award-winning chef, Garth Almazan, will host you at the Catharina’s Restaurant in which guests are invited to relax, dine in style and enjoy sophisticated South African cuisine.

The professional staff in the luxurious and spacious spa will offer guests the perfect treatment to suit their particular needs.
A championship 18-hole golf course designed by Peter Matkovich, makes full use of the natural features and hazards of the estate surrounding the hotel.

Wine Tasting

The estate boasts three tasting venues:
Wine Tasting Bar
An oval bar for the express taster. Here you can have imprompt tastings requiring no pre-bookings, while either standing or sitting underneath a uniquely designed chandelier.

Wine Tasting Lounge
The lounge is a place to linger longer, with comfortable couches and a fireplace.
Big glass doors lead onto the terrace, where one can soak in the summer sun and gaze over water features and gardens.

Executive Tasting Room
This venue on the first floor is set aside for exclusive tastings and accommodates bigger groups.
The 270° view showcases Constantiaberg, Elephant's Eye, and Steenbergs vineyards, with a clear view of the beach at Muizenberg on a beautiful day.

Cellar Tours:


Monday to Friday, 11h00 and 15h00, guided walks takes place through the Winery and Maturation Cellar.

Bistro Sixteen82

An innovative new Bistro-style cellar door restaurant and wine tasting venue named Bistro 1682 after the year in which Steenberg was first established.

Catharina's Restaurant

Catharina's Restaurant has been transformed into a
new look 90 seater restaurant.
It has a contemporary look and feel offering sweeping views of False Bay, the surrounding Steenberg Mountains and the Steenberg vineyards.
A beautiful courtyard and a conservatory filled with lush plants and unusual water features adds to the ambience.

Steenberg Golf Club

The private Steenberg Golf Club was designed and built by one of South Africa's leading golf course architects, Peter Matkovich.

The 18 hole championship golf course meanders leisurely through the Steenberg vineyardsand features four distinct areas: Wetlands, Parklands, The Cape Flats and Fynbos.

Steenberg Spa

The Spa at Steenberg is operated by the experienced Gingko Spa & Wellness Group.
The 90 minute ScenTao Hot Stone Therapy Massage is an unforgettable experience for any massage enthusiast. Another outstanding treatment is the "Elixir" - the Ginkgo signature therapeutic massage which encompasses five different techniques using traditional touch therapies.

Steenberg Hotel

Steenberg Hotel has 24 well appointed suites overlooking the vineyards or the beautiful gardens.

These include The Heritage Suites; three extraordinary suites that blend period antiques with sophisticated technology.
